Requested by Dr Mounir Neamatalla of Adrère Amallal, Siwa OASIS, ZELDA Cheatle curated a photographic exhibition of Lee Miller's Egypt, working with Ami Bouhassane and Kerry Negahban at Lee Miller Archive. creating a permanent display in a purpose built traditional salt and sand building, at the beautiful and ancient site of Adrère Amallal, Siwa, EGYPT.

 dedicated to Lee's work in Egypt.

Black and white photographs by Lee Miller documenting her journeys to Siwa in 1937, 1938 and 1939, supplemented by pictures from her life in Cairo, her friends and her journeys. The exhibition reveals not only her documentary eye but her engagement with Surrealism.

an extension to the museum was built in 2026 to accommodate ‘Ami’s corner’, further Lee Miller pictures from her surrealist and iconic periods as illustrated in ‘Lee Miller’ by Ami Bouhassane, published by Eiderdown books. The first in the modern women artists series.
